DRAFT — pending owner review
Privacy
Status of this draft
This draft describes what the Lunabao website does at launch and the choices you have. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It does not state that the site meets the requirements of any particular privacy law; that review is still to be done.
Your birth details are calculated in your browser
When you enter a birth date, an optional birth time, and a birthplace, your browser calculates your charts. Our pages do not upload these details to us, and they are not put in the page address or in share cards. At launch Lunabao has no account system and no database of birth details, so we do not hold a copy.
What is kept on your device
While you use the site, your entered details are kept in your browser tab’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. They are kept in your browser’s local storage on this device only if you choose to save your chart, and the result page has a button to delete the saved chart. A daily tarot draw (the date and the card) is saved in your browser so the same card shows all day; it holds no birth details. You can also clear everything the site stored by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Using the site in a private window or with storage blocked can mean nothing is kept.
Analytics without cookies
Lunabao plans to measure basic use of the site with cookieless analytics, meaning it does not set analytics cookies. The site can send only a short, fixed list of events: a page was viewed (the site page name only), a chart was started or completed (and whether a birth time was given), a share card was made (its format and how it was shared), a daily tarot card was drawn, and an email sign-up was used (which part of the site it was on). Events never include a birth date, birthplace, email address, or chart ID. Any event that does not fit the list is dropped. The analytics provider: [PLACEHOLDER: analytics provider, not yet chosen]. A provider that receives a web request can technically see details such as your IP address and browser type; how the chosen provider handles them will be described here once it is connected. Until then, nothing is sent.
Email list
You may choose to join a monthly email list. The sign-up asks only for your email address and your consent to receive the email. It does not ask for birth details, and your email address is not linked to any chart. The sign-up uses a third-party form service: [PLACEHOLDER: email form provider, not yet chosen], and it is not live until launch. Every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link. To have your address removed from the list, unsubscribe or use the contact details on the Contact page.
Hosting and technical logs
The site is a static website served by a hosting provider, Cloudflare. Like most hosts, it may log technical information such as your IP address, the pages requested, and your browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Place search runs on city data bundled with the site, so the city you type is not sent to a search service. The site does not use advertising trackers.
Contacting us
If you write to us, we will use your message and email address to reply. Mail sent to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare to a mailbox hosted by Google, so both handle your message. Please keep birth details, card numbers, and passwords out of your message.
Your choices
You can leave the birth form unsaved, delete a saved chart with the button on the result page, clear the site’s data in your browser, unsubscribe from the email list with one click, or ask us through the Contact page to remove your email address. Because we do not hold your birth details, there is nothing about them for us to look up or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; [PLACEHOLDER: description of rights and how to exercise them, to be written after professional review].
Age
Lunabao is for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. If you believe someone under 18 has given us an email address, contact us and we will remove it.
Processing across borders
Hosting, email, and analytics providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. The final locations and any transfer arrangements: [PLACEHOLDER: to be filled in once providers are chosen].
If paid features are added later
Paid reports are not offered at launch, and nothing about orders, payments, or AI-written reports is collected or used. If paid features are added, this policy will be updated before any order details or birth details are sent to a server. Lunabao’s policy excludes sending user personal information to AI services hosted in mainland China.
Changes and effective date
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Operator: [PLACEHOLDER: operator legal name]. Effective date: [PLACEHOLDER: effective date].
